I.7.3. Density Balance Adjust

  • To adjust the density balance of the main scanning direction by scanning the output test pattern.
  • The correction value adjusted by this function is applied to the following:

Print function (printer driver settings)

[Printer Settings] -> [Quality] -> [Color Setting]

<Procedure>

  1. Select [Printer (resolution)] or [Printer (Gradation)].
  2. Load one of Tray 1, Tray 2, Tray 3, and Tray4 with A4 paper. (Load one of them with Letter only if [Marketing Area] is [US].)
  3. Press the Start key to let the machine produce a test pattern.
  4. Place the test pattern produced on the original glass.
  5. Press the Start key and scan the test pattern.
  6. If the scanning finishes successfully, start the 2nd scanning following the instruction on the control panel.
  7. Set the test pattern rotated by 180 degrees on the original glass.
  8. Press the Start key and scan the test pattern.
  9. If the scanning finishes successfully, press [Print Test Pattern] to output the adjusted test pattern.
  10. Check the adjusted test pattern.
  11. To apply the adjusted correction value, press [Reflect Adj Values], then [Reflect] and [OK].
  12. NOTE
  • Select [Do Not Reflect] and press [OK] not to apply the adjusted correct value. In this case, the corrected value is not applied but stored.
  • Touching [Initialization] clears a stored correction value.
